Rate of Pay:                $10.00/Hour + service charges

Shift:                           Variable Shifts

                                    Times will vary daily depending on occupancy levels beginning from 6:30 am 01:00 am (Shifts are 9 hours each)

                                    MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS

 

 

SUMMARY

The Bellperson impacts every aspect of the lodging guest's Sundance experience by creating a positive sense of arrival; facilitating a thorough check in and check out service; providing safe and efficient transportation to guests around property; providing accurate and efficient room deliveries; and guiding the guest's experience by sharing comprehensive and accurate resort information.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   

Warmly greets and thanks each guest.

Provides a professional welcome to guests arriving to the front desk.

Ensures the Bell stand, Sundance vehicles, and guest reception area are clean and organized.

Opens the lobby door for guests.

Introduces guests to the Front Desk Agent or Concierge as needed.

Provides a personalized in-room check in service to acclimate the guest to the property.

Carries luggage for guests and places on the luggage rack in the lodging unit.

Responds promptly to shuttle requests and deliveries.

Provides safe transportation for lodging guests utilizing the on-property shuttle service.

If certified, provides safe and timely transportation to and from the airport.

Delivers room service in a timely manner confirming the items ordered. 

Resolves any errors in room service quickly.

Provides room tours to prospective clients and guests.

Provides exceptional guest service at all times.

Must be very friendly, positive, and professional.

Assists other departments as needed with transporting goods on and sometimes off property.

Cleans and maintains the interior and exterior of Sundance-issued vehicles.

Documents vehicle inspections in the log book.

Exhibits exceptional Sundance knowledge and ability to effectively communicate to staff and guests.

Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

Must have a valid driver's license in good standing based on the requirements of the Sundance's Insurance Policy.

Thrives in a fast pace or leisure working environment and effectively manages multiple tasks and competing deadlines.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position:  minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.

 

DRESS CODE

Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest's impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:

 

All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.

The Bell Staff uniform consists of:

  • Sundance-issued shirt
  • Name tag
  • Sundance issued winter coat
  • Black or brown belt, belt buckles must not be flashy or be distracting
  • Khaki or black pants or shorts. Other colors may be worn but MUST be approved IN ADVANCE by manager.
  • Black tennis shoes are permitted, but must be in good repair and not too flashy.

 

Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).

Blue jeans are NOT permitted.

Shirts must be tucked in no exceptions.

Appropriate shorts length is to the knee.

A tailored fit is required of all clothing.  Clothes that are too baggy or tight are not permitted.

Outer layers such as hoodies, jackets or sweaters are not permitted while on duty. If an additional layer of clothing is needed for warmth while on duty, it must either be Sundance issued or it must be warn underneath the uniform and not visible (except in the collar area).

Hats and beanies may be worn, but must contain the Sundance logo and must be pre-approved by a manager. Beanies may only be worn in colder months.

Bare midriffs are prohibited.

Proper footwear for your department is required. Flip flops and sport sandals (tevas/chacos,etc) are prohibited in all areas.

QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Good customer service skills, professional appearance, clean driving record and the ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and bags over 50 pounds or more.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Computer proficiency and resort experience preferred.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Ability to operate 2-way radio for communication with staff. Some computer experience helpful.

 

CERTIFICATIONS

Must have a current valid U.S. driver's license with fewer than two moving violations within the last two years and/or in good standing based on the requirements of the Sundance's Insurance Policy.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS                       

The incumbent must posses the ability to speak and read English fluently.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
